Singer Jessi has made the next big move of her career and established her own label.
On September 20, KST, Jessi announced the launch of her new label, UNNI, via Instagram. She shared a heartfelt message along with it, explaining the reason behind naming her company after the Korean word for “big sister.”
‘Unni’ means an older sister who will always look out for you. She taught you how to do your makeup, put you onto good music, and how to express yourself. But most importantly, she taught you that nobody will respect you if you don’t respect yourself.
When I decided to finally start my own company, there was no better name for it. Unni is the big sister company where I can share my music and so much more. Thank you for always holding me down jebbies! I hope I can do the same for you! Can’t wait to share my new chapter with you. Unni loves you!💗

On the same day, the management agency DOD also revealed that Jessi had signed a label and management contract with them. Under the assistance of DOD, she is expected to expand her activities as a soloist and entertainer. DOD also represents popular artists like BTOB members Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Hyunsik, and Peniel, as well as former NMIXX member Jinni.
This new era of Jessi has fans pumped to see what exciting new surprises await the singer’s career in the future.
