MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa recently appeared as a special guest on the YouTube show The K-Star Next Door and shared some milestone moments from her personal life and on-stage iconic moments.
One such moment among Hwasa’s more recent performances was back in May when she performed at the Gachon University Festival. In the middle of her set, Hwasa paused for a moment and informed the audience that she needed to change her shoes, only to realize she didn’t have a pair to change into backstage. As some enthusiastic audience members volunteered to lend her their shoes, Hwasa ended up borrowing a pair of sneakers from a girl in the crowd who had the same sized feet as hers.

During her appearance on The K-Star Next Door, she shared the behind story of this incident after the host jokingly mentioned her being a “K-Shoe Thief.”
Hwasa said she was unaware that the event would involve water on stage and wore heels for the performance. But she soon realized that they were not the right choice on the slippery stage.
When she thought of changing out of the heels, she further realized that she had left her backup pair of shoes in her green room. So, when the audience members offered their own shoes to her, she hastily agreed.
Hwasa finished her performance after borrowing a pair of white sneakers from a student who confirmed her feet size was 240 mm, matching the idol’s.
While the fan saved Hwasa’s performance that day, she had to watch the show barefoot, much to the singer’s regret.
Hwasa was also disappointed that she could not repay the fan’s kindness. After finishing her set, she said she “ransacked” her car to look for something she could offer the fan but found nothing.
Hwasa then used the opportunity on The K-Star Next Door and thanked the person, adding that she would love to reward her if she gets in touch. “I’ll even take off my top to give you,” she announced, leaving the room impressed with her dedication.
Meanwhile, Hwasa recently made her solo comeback with the single “NA.” Check out the music video right here!
