Buffalo won both meetings against Miami last season. The Dolphins enter TNF with injury concerns at the RB position. De’Von Achane (ankle) is questionable, and Raheem Mostert (chest) has been ruled OUT. Jeff Wilson Jr. is next up on the depth chart.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen, who rushed for two TDS and threw for a pair of TDs in the 34-28 win against Arizona, is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing hand. Allen is expected to play against Miami.
The total opened as high as 51, but dropped to 48.5 during early wagering at some top-rated sportsbooks, including FanDuel. The Lines’ NFL analyst Eli Hershkovich notes that there’s a chance of precipitation and high humidity could also impact the game.
Hershkovich writes, “There’s 80% humidity projected at Hard Rock Stadium, which could impact both teams’ stamina throughout. Remember that the Dolphins endured the heat in Sunday’s comeback win over the Jaguars. This NFL weather forecast could be more glaring for Tua Tagovailoa and Co. during a short prep week.”
TSN’s NFL expert Vinnie Iyer has the Bills winning this game outright as the road underdog, 31-27.
“Buffalo is putting more on Allen with transitional weapons and a more vulnerable defense, and he will keep responding by spreading the ball around well and getting set up by the run,” Iyer writes. “The Dolphins’ defense gave up some big plays last week and can be had on intermediate passing.”
