The New England Patriots will take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon at Paycor Stadium for their first regular season game of the 2024 season.
On top of the 53 guys they have on their active roster, New England will have two extra players to consider playing in this Week 1 game, as they’ve elevated defensive lineman Trysten Hill and offensive lineman Michael Jordan from the practice squad.
Hill, 26, was a second-round selection of the Dallas Cowboys in 2019 out of UCF. He also played for the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns before signing with New England last October. He’s appeared in 32 games in his career (one with the Patriots), recording 27 tackles (four for a loss), 11 quarterback hits and a half-sack.
Jordan, 26, was a fourth-round selection of the Bengals in 2019 out of Ohio State. After two seasons with Cincinnati, he spent two with the Carolina Panthers and one with the Green By Packers. He’s appeared in 55 games and started 29.
With Sidy Sow out due to injury, Jordan will likely be the team’s top backup guard on Sunday.
