Business is definitely picking up in the partnership between WWE NXT and TNA. So much so that you’re not only beginning to see things like Joe Hendry in main event title matches in premium live events, as he was at No Mercy against Ethan Page, but added examples include The Rascalz versus Wes Lee and, as the originator of it all, Jordynne Grace against Roxanne Perez in a title match at Battleground.
Grace would go on to lose the match, though it was every bit the banger the Universe expected to see, but she’s not been featured on NXT lately as much as some of her aforementioned TNA counterparts.

Thankfully, that’s about to change because, for the first time in the partnership, a TNA title will be on the line for NXT opponents.
Who wants to make history with me?

“Next week is a big week for wrestling. It’s WWE Week on the USA Network which means WWE RAW, NXT and SmackDown will air on USA. But I have something that’s gonna make it an even better week. I have something that’s gonna make it a historic week. I spoke to general manager Ava and it’s official: for the first time ever, I’ll be defending my TNA Knockouts Championship in an open challenge match on NXT.
“I wanna continue testing myself against the best, so if there’s a woman there who thinks she can fill my shoes, I’m more than happy to give her a shot. See you soon, WWE Universe.”

There is no shortage of superstars in the NXT women’s division who will champ at the bit to get their hands on the TNA title, but don’t expect Grace to part with it easily. After all, her reign has been supremely historic and she’s as formidable a foe as anyone has seen in professional wrestling.
Tune into the USA Network next Tuesday to see who has the guts to try and take the belt from her.
Sure, her last name is Grace, but don’t expect to receive any.
