After the Boston Red Sox dropped the first two games of their series against the New York Mets, the two teams will meet for the finale on Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
For the matchup, Boston will send Tanner Houck to the mound while New York will counter with Tylor Megill.

Houck has been really good for Boston this year, posting a 3.12 ERA (ninth in baseball) and a 1.17 WHIP (29th) while striking out 143 batters in 27 starts. He tossed six scoreless innings against the Detroit Tigers in his last outing. Only one Met has ever recorded a hit against him in his career – Jesse Winker (1-for-4).
Megill has been all right for New York in his 11 appearances (10 starts) in 2024, posting a 4.82 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP while striking out 61 batters. He allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings in his lone start since returning from Triple-A Syracuse. Only one Red Sox has recorded a hit against him in his career – Tyler O’Neill (1-for-2 with two RBIs).
