It’s transfer deadline day in England as Premier League clubs scramble to complete some last-minute business.
While plenty of deals have been done in advance of the last day of the window, there are a handful of big-name players and clubs who may look to push through agreements today rather than wait for the next window in January 2025.
It’s likely that Chelsea and Manchester United will be at the negotiating table today, perhaps even with each other, as Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho look to sort out their futures. Liverpool might also be hoping for a bit more activity after concluding a deal for Federico Chiesa, while Ivan Toney’s future remains unclear.
The Sporting News will be following the latest major deals throughout the day until the transfer window closes.

Transfer deadline day live updates, done deals for Premier League clubs
All times local (BST)
9:12 a.m.: More on Sky Italy’s story on Osimhen: the striker will reportedly earn a quite astonishing rough figure of £650,000 per week should he move to Al Ahli. Even for a Premier League club of Chelsea’s means, that’s an offer they cannot match.
9:02 a.m.: Arne Slot is speaking to the media this morning. He says he is not expecting Liverpool to do any business today, but he’s not ruling out the prospect of last-minute arrivals if the right targets become available.
8:58 a.m.: There’s potentially a breakthrough in the future of Ivan Toney: Loic Tanzi of L’Equipe reports that Brentford have accepted a transfer bid of €42 million from Al Ahli. That is significantly lower than their original asking price. Would the Saudi side really sign both Toney and Osimhen, though?

8:16 a.m.: This has felt like being a less frantic deadline day than in some previous Premier League transfer windows, but we’re still expecting a fair few deals to be done. It’s also the end of the window in La Liga today, although Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Real Madrid will not be signing anyone, while Barcelona pretty much can’t if they don’t sell first.
