Samsung is reportedly considering dropping BTS as ambassadors due to Suga‘s DUI scandal.
On August 28, the Korea Herald reported that a Samsung insider revealed that Samsung may decided to change its ambassadors. Currently, BTS are Samsung’s brand champions, a partnership they’ve held for years.
Regardless of their fandom, there are risks in having an ambassador that has caused controversy. There is a need to carefully consider their partnership.

The Samsung Insider then stated that despite this, Samsung would not take steps to immediately exclude Suga from campaigns.
With this said, it doesn’t mean that Samsung will exclude him from campaigns. The reason they have contracts with all BTS members. Unless Suga leaves the group, it is hard for them to do anything. There is a need to see how this plays out.
