ENHYPEN’s Jay has been forced to sit out of the group’s upcoming performances in Japan due to health concerns.
The sudden development has left fans concerned, as the group is currently in the midst of their world tour, FATE PLUS. Jay’s absence will undoubtedly be felt during the concerts in Aichi this weekend.
Earlier today, BELIFT LAB (the agency managing ENHYPEN) released an official statement updating fans on Jay’s condition. According to the statement, Jay experienced an unexpected rise in temperature while fulfilling his professional duties. This prompted an immediate visit to the hospital, where he underwent comprehensive medical tests.
Unfortunately, these tests confirmed that Jay had been diagnosed with the flu.
Although Jay was eager to continue with his scheduled appearances, the medical team advised him to prioritize rest and recovery. Consequently, Jay will not be able to perform at the upcoming ENHYPEN concerts in Aichi.
BELIFT LAB has assured fans that they are taking all necessary steps to ensure Jay receives the care he needs. They are committed to helping him recover fully so that he can return to the stage and reunite with his fans as soon as possible.
Here is their full statement in English:
“Hello, This is BELIFT LAB.
We wish to inform you of ENHYPEN member Jay’s health and his upcoming engagements.
Jay experienced a sudden fever while carrying out one of his schedules, prompting a visit to the hospital. Following a thorough medical examination, he was diagnosed with the flu.
Despite the artist’s strong desire to participate in scheduled performances the medical team has advised Jay to rest extensively. Regrettably, this means that he cannot perform at the ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR “FATE PLUS” IN JAPAN – Aichi. We ask you for your kind and generous understanding.
We will diligently support Jay’s treatment and recovery, ensuring he can return to his fans in good health.
Thank you.”
