Celtics star Jaylen Brown is redefining the parameters of being a do-it-all wing.
Months after earning Finals MVP honors, Brown has tapped in with multiplatinum recording artist A$ AP Ferg to release a single titled “Just Do It.”
Brown, 27, is one of the most interesting men in the NBA. With a wide range of off-the-court endeavors to his name, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he decided to display his artistry in the music realm.
Here’s everything you need to know about the latest collaboration between Ferg and the Finals MVP.

Despite the song’s title, Brown makes no mention of Nike, a brand that has the tagline, “Just do it.” Brown has taken issue with Nike in the past and has been vocal about his issues with the brand.
While the song may appear like it has come out of left field, it is one that is years in the making.

Jaylen Brown-A$ AP Ferg relationship, explained
Brown and Ferg have maintained a close relationship for the majority of Brown’s NBA career.
In 2019, Ferg gifted the Celtics star a custom chain and pendant to celebrate his 23rd birthday. Two years later, the two collaborated on a court project at the famed Rucker Park in Harlem, N.Y., where Ferg hails.
Ferg is also no stranger to the TD Garden sideline, where he has supported Brown from courtside seats.
Ferg even foreshadowed what was to come in 2021.

Whether or not Brown’s rap career is one-and-done remains to be seen, but he joins a long list of NBA stars who can at least have some fun in the studio. Perhaps we could see Brown collaborate with another NBA player next.
