Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney has had a rough calendar year, to say the least.
From soul-crushing drops to penalties that killed big plays, the former first-round pick found himself out of the lineup by the end of the season.
Andy Reid said at the beginning of camp the Chiefs would give Toney some looks at running back, but overall, it feels like he is a player that very well could get cut before the regular season begins. He didn’t help his case very much against the Detroit Lions in Week 2 of the preseason.
On his first snap of the preseason, Toney committed two penalties. Toney was part of an illegal formation where he covered up tight end Irv Smith Jr. and he was flagged for holding while blocking Lions defender Khalil Dorsey.
Kadarius Toney committed 2 penalties on his 1st preseason snap. Toney covered the Irv Smith Jr. (unless Irv lined up improperly) & committed holding penalty while trying to block Khalil Dorsey on the perimeter for Deneric Prince.

Toney’s chances of making the roster are hanging by a thread, and mistakes like this do him no favors.
