OMEGA X‘s Hwichan has been referred to the prosecution on accusations of sexually assaulting his former agency’s CEO.
On August 1, the Seoul Seongdong Police Station forwarded Hwichan to the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office on charges of forcible molestation, according to legal sources.
The controversy began in March when Spire Entertainment, the group’s former agency, held a press conference. Spire alleged that Hwichan, distressed about his impending military service, was being consoled by former CEO Kang when he allegedly molested Kang.
The agency also revealed CCTV footage that, according to them, supports their claims.

Spire explained their initial reluctance to press charges, stating they did not want to brand a young idol as a sex offender. However, they decided to act after the OMEGA X members accused Kang of forced molestation, framing him as the victim. In response, OMEGA X countered these allegations, claiming Hwichan’s actions were coerced by Kang.
