Singer Jang Pil Soon recently took to Instagram to share her deep anguish over the loss of her beloved pet dog, Camus, a year ago due to the negligence of a pet hotel.
In a heartbreaking message, Jang detailed the torment she still feels, describing how thoughts of that tragic day send shivers down her spine. The singer also revealed that she cannot and will not forgive those responsible for Camus’ suffering and death.
Jang recounted how Camus, considered a cherished family member, endured unbearable pain and fear in his final hours as he died due to heatstroke. Jang was told the dog passed away only 10 hours after being left in the pet hotel’s care.
She had believed that a staff member would be present 24 hours, but that was not the case. Jang revealed that by the time she arrived at the veterinary hospital, Camus had already passed away.
As a year after her pet’s death approached, Jang took to Instagram to share her thoughts and pain.
A year has passed, and I still shudder whenever the memories come back. When I think about the pain and fear that my precious family member, Camus, endured during those hours, I can never forgive those people from that day.
And yet, they had the nerve to issue a statement as if they were the victims. It gives me chills. Even after causing another person’s family member to die in agony due to their negligence and carelessness…
I still can’t bring myself to retrieve the blanket that covered the kennel, which Camus had bitten and torn apart in his suffering. Why can’t they admit their mistake and offer a sincere apology? Why are they acting this way?
A year has passed, and I, no, we still can’t escape the grief and anger. Sometimes, it overwhelms me, and I burst into tears… Who could understand this? These unqualified people… They might claim to care about life, but money always comes first for them…
Such people should never be entrusted with others’ lives. I am not a saint. I can’t just cry over losing my pet in such a senseless way and then move on as if nothing happened. From the depths of their hearts, they should genuinely apologize to those who lost a loved one.
Where are you now, and how are you living your lives? Should I take this to the end… I have a headache…
Camus… Please forgive Mom and Dad

Following the incident, the pet hotel owner issued an apology. One that Jang refuses to accept, even after a year has passed.
