Last week, the Television Academy announced its highly anticipated nominations list for the 76th Emmy Awards, and BLACKPINK‘s Jennie received some major recognition.
Her infamous debut show — HBO’s The Idol — snagged a nomination for “Outstanding Choreography for a Scripted Program,” thanks in no small part to Jennie’s incredible dance moves.
The series itself stars some big names like Abel (The Weeknd), Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Rachel Sennott, and, of course, Jennie.
Jennie’s dance routine in the series, choreographed by Nina McNeely, blew up online when the show came out in 2023. It went viral, and fans couldn’t get enough.

Seems like it was so amazing that it’s even considered to be Emmy-worthy!
Jennie’s The Idol will be competing with other popular shows in the same category, such as Only Murders In The Building, Palm Royale, and Physical.
Regardless, it has a high chance of winning. The Emmy nod comes for a few particular scenes in the show that are choreography-heavy — in some of them, Jennie’s character, Dyanne, shines the brightest.

These include the rehearsal scenes, music video shoots, and some pretty cool dollhouse sequences. Many say the standout moment was Jennie practicing with Lily-Rose Depp’s character to the song “World Class Sinner.”
Jennie’s dance moves in the series’ music video shoot were also a highlight, showing just how much she contributed to this Emmy nomination. Besides this, she even won Best Actress in an International Series at the SEC Awards 2024 for her role as Dyanne.
Jennie’s future as an actress looks super bright, and fans can’t wait to see more of her on the big screen. Her performance in “The Idol” has definitely set the stage for exciting things to come.
