The Dallas Cowboys’ offseason has been one of few additions, plenty departures, and a ton of behind the scenes murmurs about this possibly being the swan song of several stars.
With Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons all without long-term deals, the Cowboys could be entering the last season of the Dak era. In looking ahead, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski gave his best fits of the 2025 NFL Draft for every team, matching the Cowboys with Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewar.
“The Dallas Cowboys have two major decisions looming, with both quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb requiring long-term contract extensions before they become free agents next offseason,” Sobleski wrote. “The assumption is that both will eventually get done, though the Cowboys haven’t done themselves any favors by waiting so long. Even with both back in the fold, more reinforcements are necessary to help the team’s passing attack. Oregon’s Evan Stewart provides a different skill set, with startling stop-start ability and change-of-direction movement. He can be a difference-maker opposite Lamb, after no wide receiver on the roster managed more than 54 receptions and 657 yards last season. Brandin Cooks is scheduled to be a free agent after the upcoming campaign anyhow.”
A new receiver could be a good move for Dallas come next April. However, all eyes will be on who gets paid and who doesn’t over the next several months.
