X1 was the product of the final and last season of Produce 101. The show soon went under after the producer’s rigging was revealed. X1 did not get to promote after the show ended, due to it being revealed that their debut results had also been pre-planned by the show.
Fans found it a great pity that they never got to properly promote. Although they released a debut single, “Flash,” and were active for awhile, the group halted its activities just 4 months after debuting in August 2019, due to the scandal. They formerly disbanded in January the following year.
On July 1, 2024, fans were shocked to see sudden activity from the group. A new account using X1’s logo posted a trailer called TIME LEAP. Fans immediately related it to X1’s debut, QUANTUM LEAP.

The trailer soon reached over 2.8 million views overnight. Could this mean that the group is gearing up for a reunion? The last reunion that the boys publicly had was back in August 2020.
