The Dodgers dropped their full 162-game slate for the 2025 season, and while every game counts, we’ve sifted through it to snag just the games and series that matter most.
Now, this could all change depending on how the offseason shakes out and how things go next season, but it’s hard to believe these series won’t carry at least some weight when the Dodgers get to them.
March 18-19 at Chicago Cubs
This is the season-opening series in Tokyo, Japan. Expect some electricity, particularly when the Shota Imanaga and Shohei Ohtani face off in their home country. There’s a chance that’s the Opening Day pitching matchup, and there’s a chance Ohtani is the first batter Imanaga faces. What a fun way to start the year.
April 4-6 at Philadelphia Phillies
Here is a possible postseason rematch and/or postseason preview. Plus the Dodgers will need to exact some revenge for the way the Phillies handled them in their last series at Citizen’s Bank Park. An early battle for National League supremacy should be a good one.
April 15 vs. Colorado Rockies
Jackie Robinson Day is always a special one across Major League Baseball. Get to a ballpark, even if you can’t get to Dodger Stadium.
May 16-18 vs. Los Angeles Angels
Hopefully we see a healthy Mike Trout for the Freeway Series next year.
May 30-June 1 vs. New York Yankees
The Bronx Bombers in Southern California will be must-see TV with playoff vibes at Dodger Stadium.
June 9-19 at San Diego Padres, vs. San Francisco Giants, vs. Padres
This is a lot. The Dodgers will visit the Padres June 9-11, then they’re home for three against the Giants and four more against the Padres. That makes 10 consecutive games against two of the Dodgers’ biggest NL West rivals. LA should win the division again, but things get interesting if they scuffle through this mid-June stretch.
July 4-6 vs. Houston Astros
Ew.
Sept. 12-14 at San Francisco Giants
A late-season showdown with the Giants in the Bay Area could be fun if there’s any kind of real division race a la 2021.
