Incheon International Airport Corporation is reportedly considering legal action against the private security firm hired by actor Byeon Woo Seok after accusations of excessive security measures sparked public outcry.
An official from the airport corporation told Money Today that they are reviewing potential legal steps against the firm for its unauthorized activities.
We are reviewing legal actions against the unauthorized activities of the security firm. We plan to respond actively to illegal acts by private security firms by strengthening on-site control in close cooperation with relevant agencies to ensure the safety and convenience of airport users.

The issue began on the morning of July 12 when Byeon Woo Seok was using Incheon International Airport for a trip to Hong Kong. After Byeon entered Gate 2 on the third floor of Terminal 2, employees from his private security firm closed the gate for approximately 10 minutes, causing significant inconvenience to other passengers.
