The countdown to the Olympics continues as the United States men’s team faces the Australian Boomers in a tune-up exhibition.
The game, which is part of the USA Basketball Showcase, features two of the world’s strongest basketball powers. At the Tokyo Olympics, USA took home gold while Australia won bronze — the first Olympic medal for the nation’s basketball program.
There will be no shortage of NBA talent as Australia’s roster features recent lottery picks Dyson Daniels and Josh Giddey, veterans Joe Ingles and Patty Mills and NBA champion Matthew Dellavedova. The Boomers will provide a tough challenge for Team USA’s star-studded roster.
With Team USA and Australia set to take the floor in Abu Dhabi, The Sporting News is tracking live score updates and highlights from throughout the exhibition game.
