A beauty queen in the Miss Hong Kong 2024 pageant is under fire.
Savannah Chen is a 24-year old sustainability accountant and current contestant in the national pageant.
A netizen from Jiangmen, China, recently posted an image of a billboard with her image on it. It encouraged bystanders to vote for her in exchange for a seafood meal.
Vote for Miss Hong Kong. Get free seafood.
Any paying customer of Zhen Fang Hai Xian Zhou Cheng who successfully casts a vote [for Savannah Chen] will get a free portion of seafood.

To add fuel to the fire, the billboard included the logo of TVB, the official broadcaster of the pageant, on the top right corner. Should this advertisement prove to be misconduct solely on her end, she would be dragging the company down along with her.
Netizens reacted with dismay towards Savannah Chen, saying they were ashamed to be represented by her.

The Miss Hong Kong 2024 pageant will be held on September 15, 2024 in Macau.
