After getting an advance last season, New England Patriots edge rusher Matthew Judon is looking for a new contract in 2025.
Judon, 31, is currently in the final year of his deal and is set to make $ 6.5 million in base salary and $ 1 million in per-game roster bonuses. With the $ 7.94 prorated signing bonus for this year, he’s set to count as $ 14.68 million against the cap.
While Judon took the high road about his contract situation earlier in the offseason, he recently took to social media to say that he doesn’t believe a new deal is coming.
Now, FOX Sports’ Henry McKenna has reported that Judon and the Patriots are negotiating a contract. He also stated that New England has made an offer, but the two sides are “not currently close to agreeing to a new deal.”
Judon appeared in just four games last season after suffering a torn biceps. He recorded 13 tackles (five for a loss), nine quarterback hits and four sacks.
