BLACKPINK‘s Lisa made her solo comeback with “Rockstar” on June 28 KST.
Since then, some fans have taken to social media to declare their dissatisfaction with Lisa’s promotions, saying that she should have been “promoting the song since Day 1.”
YG’s promotions for ‘LALISA’ were incredibly disappointing and rushed,
but now that she has established @wearelloud why is it happening all over again with ‘ROCKSTAR’? this is extremely disappointing, you should’ve have been promoting the song since day 1.— ً (@bratzlloud) July 3, 2024
They called on her company, LLOUD, to increase her presence online. Fansites pointed out the need for more promotions such as interviews and performances in order to increase the popularity of “Rockstar.”
Hello @wearelloud @RCARecords,
We’re working hard to keep LISA’s numbers as high as we can, but we need your help for ROCKSTAR. We need performances, interviews, and promotions to push the song further.
Unlimited versions can combine for the Billboard and UK charts. We want to…

Hello @wearelloud @RCARecords,
We’re working hard to keep LISA’s numbers strong to ensure good stability for ROCKSTAR.
However, we need promotions such as performances, interviews & more to push the song even further on global charts especially in the US. pic.twitter.com/tjWdXamcHu

.@wearelloud @RCARecords @RCAPromo at some point you guys have to give us promotions because we can’t just stream rockstar without the song getting any real exposure. please consider doing so before the end of this era! thank you.

Unlike with a K-Pop comeback, there are fewer opportunities for Western artists to perform live or appear on variety shows. Since Lisa’s single is in the “Pop” category, the latter is likely why she is releasing minimal supporting videos.
Lisa changing the category of rockstar from k-pop to pop… I Need her to give me the POP promotions 😩pic.twitter.com/hWU8v7IRvW

So far, LLOUD has only released the “MV Behind The Scenes” video of the song.
Needless to say, many are disappointed.
no bec Lisa needs to promote it even the slightest. Those non-fans who streamed it on its first few days ofc would lost their interest so it needs new listeners. Just dancer practice, dance challenge or anything would do. She can’t just left this song unromoted.

I am so disappointed the way ROCKSTAR being such a potentially worldwide hit song is being sabotaged because of no promotions. Like LISA, @wearelloud GET UP OMG?

Despite the lack of promotions, Lisa is still charting high on platforms such as Spotify and Billboard Japan.
