Byeon Woo Seok has risen to stardom. Naturally, his past works have resurfaced. On Jang Do Yeon‘s Salon Drip, he described it as “embarrassing,” but he is still thankful.

Recently, Byeon Woo Seok was interviewed by Harper’s BAZAAR Korea. He was asked, “Is there an embarrassing past you want to erase or a past you were surprised with?”
Initially, Byeon Woo Seok said that he wouldn’t change anything. Still, there are things he finds “embarrassing.”
Actually, there is nothing I want to erase. There were some things that were embarrassing.

Byeon Woo Seok confessed that he is embarrassed by his past appearance. He believes he was really skinny.
I was slim when I was a model. I was really slim. I was really embarrassed to see the slim version of me.

Byeon Woo Seok explained that he went to auditions for modeling gigs for about two weeks while in Milan. He was not starving himself to get jobs, though.
Back then, I was slim because I went to the Milan Fashion Week and went around for casting auditions for around 2 weeks. I wanted to participate in as many casting auditions as possible, so I didn’t have meals.

Byeon Woo Seok actually would eat. He was too busy trying to audition as much as possible so he wouldn’t stop for meals. Instead, he would grab a pizza or kebab to eat on the go. Additionally, since he was trying to save money by walking instead of catching a taxi, he would instantly burn off all the calories. He was walking everywhere all day!
While walking around, if there was a kebab place, I bought a kebab to eat, or I bought a pizza and ate it while walking around. Back then, I walked around a lot. It felt off to ride a taxi, and I didn’t have much money. I think I walked around for around 8 hours. I was really slim back then.

The interviewer followed up with another question: “Do you know that the photo with model Joo Woo Jae became the talk of the town?” Byeon Woo Seok couldn’t get over how different he and Woo Jae looked!
Woo Jae looks like he didn’t eat as he didn’t want to eat, and I look like I was starved by someone. Yeah, that was really funny. It is funny every time I see it, even now.
