As Gallup Korea celebrates its 50th anniversary, it has unveiled the much-anticipated results of its annual survey, “50 Things Koreans Like.” This year’s list of favorite singers reveals a diverse mix of genres and generations, capturing the essence of Korea’s rich musical landscape.
The survey, conducted from March 22 to April 5, 2024, polled 1,777 people aged 13 and above across the nation (excluding Jeju Island). Here are the top 10 singers who have captured the hearts of South Koreans!
1. Lim Young Woong
Garnering the top spot with 10.3 percent of the vote, Lim Young Woong is a ballad and trot sensation known for his heartfelt performances. His appeal spans across generations, making him a beloved figure in Korean music and famous for having “ahjumma” fans.
2. IU

3. BTS

4. Na Hoon A
Receiving 4.0% of the votes, Na Hoon A is a legendary figure in Korean trot music. His powerful stage presence and timeless hits have secured his place in the hearts of many Koreans, young and old.
5. NewJeans
