BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo is considered one of the most famous Korean celebrities around. Besides singing, she also starred as the lead in the K-Drama Snowdrop and is currently cast in another.
Before this, however, she was an actress who played smaller roles such as the lead in Epik High‘s music video for “SPOILER,” which was released nine years ago.
The group recently mentioned Jisoo and reminisced on this project on the YouTube show of Girls’ Day‘s Hyeri, Hyell’s Club.
The topic was brought up when they asked Hyeri who the first guest of the show was, and she revealed it was none other than Jisoo.

That piqued their curiosity, and they asked her if she’s close to the “FLOWER” singer. Hyeri confirmed that they are but added that she still hasn’t been able to shake off one feeling whenever they’re together—she’s always awed by how much of a star the BLACKPINK member is.
- Epik High’s Tablo: Are you usually close?
- Hyeri: Yes, we are close for real, but she is such… a STAR.
- Epik High’s Tablo: Then it must have been comfortable!
- Hyeri: But she is such…a star.
The men laughed and agreed with her statement. “Right, she is a star. You are a friend, but she is a star. She is such a star,” they commented.
Tablo added that they noticed her star factor even before BLACKPINK’s debut when she acted in their music video.
Before she debuted, she appeared in our music video. She appeared as an actress. It wasn’t that long ago but she became such a star.
