The 2014 off-court scandal involving disgraced former LA Clippers governor Donald Sterling takes center stage in FX’s new “Clipped” miniseries. As the show outlines, Sterling’s indiscretions proved detrimental to the on-court product of one of the most talented teams in Clippers history.
Led by the All-NBA duo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, the 2013-14 Clippers finished third in the West with a 57-25 record and had realistic title aspirations in an über-competitive Western Conference. While Sterling’s scandal dominated storylines during the opening round, LA managed to advance before getting eliminated by the Thunder in the Western Conference semifinals.
