Teoscar Hernandez loves the spotlight, and it showed Saturday night in the Dodgers’ showdown with the Yankees.
Hernandez, one night after giving the Dodgers an 11th-inning lead with a two-run double that proved to be the game-winning hit, launched a solo homer in the second inning to put the Dodgers up and then a grand slam in the eighth to extend a 4-2 lead to 8-2.
He’s now up to 47 RBIs on the season and his 15 home runs are tied with Shohei Ohtani for the team lead.
There are better players on the Dodgers than Hernandez, but there may not be a more clutch player.
