Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) is the consensus choice for the hardest puncher in the world. The Alabama native has only been extended the distance once in his career and that was back in 2015 when he outpointed Bermane Stiverne for the vacant WBC heavyweight title. In a 2017 rematch, Wilder destroyed Stiverne in the opening round.
At 6-6 and approximately 290 pounds, Zhang (26-2-1, 21 KOs) is the largest heavyweight fighter at the elite level and a devastating puncher in his own right. The Chinese southpaw is expected to weigh as much as 70 pounds more than his opponent, which is one of the reasons why he’s been installed as the betting favourite.
Both men are coming off points defeats to talented New Zealander Joseph Parker, so this is a must-win fight.
