ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin and HYBE are currently engaged in a very public feud after the corporation accused Min of trying to separate her label from the organization. She countered the accusations with a set of allegations against HYBE, claiming that she and her group, NewJeans, were mistreated by the company.
Meanwhile, Heo Se Ryun, the creative director of another HYBE girl group, ILLIT, is believed to have taken a stance against the ADOR CEO. When Min Hee Jin held a press conference on April 25, Heo posted a picture of a raised middle finger on her Instagram story. People were convinced that she was throwing shade.
On April 26, she posted another story that netizens believe was again aimed at Min Hee Jin. The photo, which was a movie poster of a Japanese film titled Our Little Sister, was uploaded at the same time when NewJeans released their new Japanese music video, “Bubble Gum.”
Netizens noted, in particular, that the poster had a similar visual vibe to NewJeans’ new music video. Since Min Hee Jin has claimed that ILLIT’s concept was “copied” completely from NewJeans, many felt that this was Heo taking a shot back at her.
This speculated response from Heo, however, has garnered rather negative reactions from Korean netizens.
- “Is there no one around her to stop her?”
- “Please delete your Instagram. It’s really lame.”
- “I’m really disheartened…”
- “Still, you copied even the concept of NewJeans…Why do you keep boasting?”

- “I watched the movie but it wasn’t similar, though?”
- “No, but why is she doing this?”
