The Avalanche and Jets face off in the opening round of the NHL playoffs.
Winnipeg clinched home ice in the series by winning all three of its regular-season games with Colorado.
The Jets took control of the Central Division with a 7-0 victory over the host Avalanche last Saturday. Winnipeg clinched the No. 2 seed three days later with a 4-3 win over the Kraken.
Winnipeg got a boost with the return of Gabe Vilardi, who missed nearly a month of action with an enlarged spleen. Vilardi has 22 goals and 14 assists in 47 games this season.
Mark Scheifele leads the Jets with 72 points (25 goals, 47 assists). Kyle Connor has a team-high 34 goals and Josh Morrissey leads Winnipeg with 59 assists.
Colorado is led by MVP candidate Nathan MacKinnon, who has 59 goals and 89 assists. Right winger Mikko Rantanen has amassed more than 100 points for the second consecutive season with 42 goals and 62 assists.
The winner of the series will play the winner between Central Division champion Dallas and wild card Vegas.
