In February 2024, Chuang Asia Thailand, a spin-off of Produce Camp, began to air. Like the previous version of the show, trainees competed to debut in a brand new temporary group.
Among the celebrity mentors was GOT7‘s Jackson Wang, who served as the show’s lead mentor. The group, now named GEN1ES, will debut sometime this year under RYCE Entertainment, the label co-founded by Jackson.
Meet The Members Of GOT7 Jackson Wang’s New Girl Group, GEN1ES
Ahead of their debut, the group have already begun releasing content, including their first look into their dorm.
When it comes to dorms for music groups, expectations have not always been that great, especially when looking back at GOT7’s debut dorm.
The seven members of GOT7 were split into three rooms, with one housing three members. Their living room was sparsely decorated and contained an overflow of their clothing.
In terms of their actual rooms, the members, except for BamBam, Yugyeom, and Jinyoung, slept on floor mats in small rooms. Jay B and Youngjae shared one mat rather than having their own.
At different times, the group would complain about various issues in the dorm, including not having AC in each room and issues with bugs. Their living situation would improve as time passed, but the group remained in this small dorm until around 2017.
This experience might have influenced Jackson to ensure GEN1ES were given plenty of space in their dorm!
From the start of the video, viewers are given a look at the spacious dorm. Starting from GEN1ES’s entrance, it is apparent how large the space is based on the hallway.
The group then entered the dining area, revealing a long dining table and seating space. The living room is just as impressive, featuring an L-shaped couch, a television, and an enclosed kitchen.
The nine members are split among four rooms, with only one having three members inside. However, each member has a bed and ample closet space, and each room appears to have its own bathroom, with the three-person room having a huge bathtub.
GEN1ES debut dorm has definitely put GOT7’s and many other groups’ dorms to shame! You can check out the full video below.
