The 2024 NFL Draft is going to be defined by the quarterbacks taken in the first round. There are between four and six quarterbacks that are set to go in the first round and there likely will be at least one quarterback to break out of this group to be one of the better quarterbacks in the National Football League.
As much as those quarterbacks are talented, it’s just as much about talent as it is landing spot. The best landing spot in the NFL is the Minnesota Vikings and they have been rumored to make a move up for a quarterback for months.
Patriots open to trading 3rd overall
In his predraft press conference, acting general manager for the New England Patriots Eliot Wolf said that they are open for business.
“When you’re picking this high, fortunately, those teams that are interested are also doing that, so they’ll reach out earlier than they would when we’re on the clock. That makes it easier in this particular situation,” Wolf said.
He also added that they would “be comfortable” with taking three to four different quarterbacks. That could mean the Vikings could move up to go and get that selection. It would take a lot to make it happen, but hitting on the quarterback is the most important part of the equation.
