The Atlanta Falcons hosted their local Pro Day Friday morning for NFL draft prospects based out of Georgia, from stars at the University of Georgia to players who ventured elsewhere, but still call Georgia home. One of the advantages to a Pro Day like this is finding names that otherwise would have gone unnoticed by the casual observer, one of those names hails from a school only an hour away from the Falcons’ facilities.
Kennesaw State’s Isaac Foster is listed as a receiver, but his talents have him lined up all over the field. His slight build (5’10”, 175 pounds) will not endear him to NFL scouts, but his ability with the ball in his hands will.
Hailing from Summerville, GA, Foster was an integral part of the Owls’ triple-option attack, showcasing impressive vision and agility on his way to 15 total touchdowns in his time at Kennesaw State. He showed his versatility lining up in the backfield, lining up in the slot and out wide for the Owls.
At the next level, Foster will be used as a running back, but most importantly, he will be used on special teams.
Foster holds virtually every kick-return record for Kennesaw State and the agility to make defenders miss, as shown by his impressive Pro-Day performance, which featured a sub-7.0 three-cone drill (6.95), a 4.5 40-yard dash (4.52) and a 35″ vertical jump.
