The second Frozen Four semifinal is a date between the top-seeded Eagles and the underdog Wolverines.
Michigan (23-14-3) upset No. 4 Michigan State in the second round to earn a spot in the semifinal, while No. 1 Boston College (33-5-1) took down defending champion Quinnipiac to reach the Frozen Four.
While Michigan is an underdog this season, the Wolverines are tied for the most national championships in history with nine. The storied program is on a quest to be the first team to reach 10 titles.
The Wolverines have a well-balanced offense that features two 50-point scorers and four more 40-point scorers.
Gavin Brindley (53) and Rutger McGroarty (52) lead the team. Dylan Duke, T.J. Hughes, Seamus Casey and Frank Nazar III are all above the 40-point threshold as well.
That committee of players has helped drive the third-best offense in the country. But the Wolverines have just the 34th-best defense in terms of goals against average.

On the other side, Boston College has a potent offense and defense. The Eagles have the second-best offense and fourth-best defense as they look for their sixth national title.
They also have the league leaders in goals, points and assists. Freshman Will Smith leads the country with 69 points and 46 assists. With sophomore Cutter Gauthier as his skating mate, the game is that much easier.
Gauthier has an NCAA-leading 37 goals and totals 64 points. He averages 0.95 goals per game, which beats second place by 0.09. Ryan Leonard and Gabe Perreault have 59 and 57 points, respectively.
Jacob Fowler stands between the pipes with a nation-leading 85.1% win percentage — a wide margin over the second-best goalkeeper. The freshman owns a 94.2% save percentage, which is tied for fifth in the NCAA.
