No. 3 LSU and No. 2 UCLA will meet on Saturday in one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
LSU handled its second-round game against Middle Tennessee with ease, cruising to an 83-56 win. UCLA, on the other hand, went down to the wire with Creighton, emerging victorious in a close 67-63 affair.
Kiki Rice led UCLA with 24 points in the second-round contest, and Lauren Betts posted a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double. The Bruins didn’t shoot well from deep, but they punished the Bluejays in the paint and were dominant on the boards.
LSU stars Flau’jae Johnson and Angel Reese combined for 41 points against Middle Tennessee. The Tigers completely shut down the Blue Raiders in the second half, limiting them to just 20 points in the third and fourth quarters.
