Recently, IFPI (the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry), representing the recording industry worldwide, shared the best-selling albums globally. Taylor Swift came in at 6th with 2.8 million copies of her release 1989 (Taylor’s Version) sold.
The five albums that managed to outsell Taylor Swift album-wise are all K-Pop!

Stray Kids‘ eighth mini-album was released on November 10, 2023. According to IFPI, the album sold 4.2 million copies globally in the less than two months following its release!
4. SEVENTEEN — SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN
SEVENTEEN‘s eleventh mini-album was released on October 23, 2023. According to IFPI, the album sold 4.5 million copies globally in the less than three months following its release!
3. NCT DREAM — ISTJ
NCT DREAM‘s third full-length album was released on July 17, 2023. According to IFPI, the album sold 4.6 million copies globally!
2. STRAY KIDS — ★★★★★ (5-STAR)
Stray Kids’ third full-length album was released on June 2, 2023. According to IFPI, the album sold 5.3 million copies globally!
1. SEVENTEEN — FML
SEVENTEEN’s tenth mini-album was released on April 24, 2023. According to IFPI, the album sold 6.4 million copies globally! SEVENTEEN were also named the best-selling K-Pop group globally, following only Taylor Swift.
Also included in the list’s top ten artists were BTS‘s Jungkook with GOLDEN at #7, EXO‘s EXIST at #8, IVE‘s I’ve MINE, and BTS V‘s Layover at #10.
