The Mavericks enter the final stretch of the regular season with a hobbled Luka Doncic.
In Wednesday’s win over the Warriors, Doncic left in the fourth quarter with a hamstring issue. He has since missed one game with the injury and his status for the Mavs’ upcoming games is unknown.
Doncic is putting together another terrific season. He earned his fifth career All-Star selection and once again finds himself in the MVP conversation. Despite his best efforts, Dallas finds itself in the Play-In bracket of the Western Conference standings with a 38-29 record.

What is Luka Doncic’s injury?
Doncic is dealing with left hamstring soreness.
The five-time All-Star exited Dallas’ win over Golden State on March 13 with the injury. Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said after the game that Doncic gave him a signal during the fourth quarter that his hamstring was tight.
Doncic appeared to be in discomfort after throwing an alley-oop to Daniel Gafford with 6:46 remaining in the game. The Warriors called a timeout after the play and Doncic did not return.
Doncic finished with 21 points, nine assists and three rebounds in 29 minutes, ending a streak of seven straight triple-doubles.

How long is Luka Doncic out?
Doncic did not travel to Oklahoma City for Thursday’s game against the Thunder. Following an MRI that came back clean, he will be re-evaluated this weekend before the Mavericks face the Nuggets on Sunday, March 17, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.
Stein reported on Saturday, March 16, that Doncic is questionable for Sunday’s matchup against Denver.
Doncic has appeared in 58 of a possible 67 games this season, averaging 34.3 points, 9.8 assists and 9.0 rebounds on 49.4 percent shooting from the field.
The Mavericks are 35-23 with Doncic this season. They’ve lost six of the nine games he has missed.
Six of the team’s next eight games are on the road, including a back-to-back in Sacramento against the Kings. The Mavericks are 0-2 against the Kings this season and trail them by one game in the Western Conference standings.
