Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner has been widely viewed as a potential top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The 2023 SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year was a menace coming off the edge for Nick Saban, and he’s considered one of the top defensive players in the class.
So, even before the NFL Scouting Combine, Turner’s draft stock was high, but that value just got even higher after his stellar performance in Indianapolis.
Turner impressed with his speed and athleticism on the first day of the combine. No one had a better result in the vertical jump than the Alabama star, and Turner was right at the top of the leaderboard in the broad jump and 40-yard dash.
Here is a full breakdown of Turner’s combine success, from his sensational jumps to his blazing-fast 40 time.

Dallas Turner height, weight
Turner’s first numbers of the day did not require as much exertion. The Alabama linebacker started his combine by getting his weight and height measured.
The potential top-10 pick came in at 6-2 and 247 pounds. That’s right about what is regarded as the average height and weight for an NFL linebacker, giving him the size needed to translate to the pros.
One of the comparisons that scouts have paired with Turner is Jaguars star Josh Allen. While their playing styles might be similar, Allen has a three-inch advantage in the height department and about 10 more pounds on the scale.

Turner knows a thing or two about getting up. In addition to excelling in football, Turner was a strong basketball player in his high school days. He played on the same Florida AAU team as Raptors All-Star Scottie Barnes.
For someone who’s a dominant threat off the edge, sometimes you have to get your hands up to block a pass. It certainly helps when you have the hops like Turner does.
Dallas Turner broad jump
When it comes to jumping, Turner can do more than just get up as high as he can. He can launch himself a good distance, as well.
The Alabama product produced an impressive distance in the broad jump, recording a mark of 10 feet, 7 inches.

NFL Network even brought out the Roll Tide Simulcam to give fans a better understanding of just how fast Turner was moving. The network gave a look at how Turner’s 40 time compared to a couple of Alabama alums excelling in the NFL, placing Jalen Hurts’ and Derrick Henry’s sprints on top of a replay of Turner’s dash.
