The injuries are piling up for the Knicks.
In late January, All-Star forward Julius Randle suffered a dislocated shoulder and is expected to be sidelined through All-Star weekend. A few weeks later, All-Star guard Jalen Brunson went down with an ankle injury, the severity of which is still unknown.
Brunson is putting together the best season of his career. Through 49 games, he’s averaging 27.2 points, 6.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds on 48.2 percent shooting from the field. He recently earned his first All-Star selection and is considered to be a fringe MVP candidate.

What is Jalen Brunson’s injury?
Brunson suffered a right ankle sprain in New York’s win over Memphis on Feb. 6.
With 5:31 remaining in the fourth quarter, Brunson’s ankle turned as he planted his foot on a drive to the basket. He was initially seen trying to shake off the injury on the bench but eventually went back to the locker room.

Brunson did not return to the game. He finished with 27 points and eight assists in 31 minutes.

Brunson is currently listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Mavericks.
When asked about Brunson’s injury after New York’s win over Memphis, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau didn’t have an update. Brunson was seen leaving the arena without a boot, crutches or a pronounced limp, though he was walking gingerly, per The New York Post’s Stefan Bondy.
