If you’ve kept up with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s budding romance even a little bit, there’s a strong chance you know about the other man in her life.
Scott Swift betrayed Swifties by sporting Chiefs merch at his daughter’s Buenos Aires show, something that goes against everything we know about the Pennsylvania-native.
Nevertheless, Andrea and Scott Swift are the biggest fans of the singer. Even 17 years since the release of her first album, they’re seen dancing and singing along at almost every one of her shows. We’ll be in for a treat when they finally meet Kelce’s parents, as few are as supportive of their celebrity children as the two pairs are.
With that being said, who are Swift’s parents? The Sporting News has you covered.

Who are Taylor Swift’s parents?
Swift was raised by her mother Andrea and father Scott, who have been her biggest supporters since day one of her music career.
Swift took home Album of the Year at the Grammys in 2010 for her album Fearless. She was the youngest artist to win the award and dedicated it to her parents.
“This is for all those times that you said I could do whatever I wanted in life,” she said. “And my mom, you’re my best friend.”
The singer has written multiple songs for her mom and dad, most notably with “The Best Day” and “Never Grow Up.”
While they got divorced just 23 years into their marriage, you wouldn’t be able to tell. The two remain right by their daughter’s side as she balanced the Eras Tour with her newfound romance.
Scott Swift
Scott Swift was born March 5, 1952, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia.
He played college football at Hawai’i and Delaware, so it’s safe to say he’s just a little excited about connecting with the Kelce family.
While Swift was young, his wife went along with their daughter as she began touring. Scott stayed home with their son, Austin.
In a personal essay for Elle, Swift announced both of her parents had cancer. It was known her mother had battled it for years, but she did not elaborate on her father’s struggles.
Since Scott has joined Swift at many of her Eras Tour shows, she’s shared plenty of behind-the-scenes content of the man who made it all possible.

Andrea Swift
Born Jan. 10, 1958 in Pennsylvania, Andrea Swift’s parents traveled during her younger years. She spent time in Singapore before settling back in Texas, where she attended college at the University of Houston.
Swifties know and love Andrea, who often helps her daughter with fan interactions before the show. She’s been by Swift’s side every step of the way in her career, joining her first few tours.
In 2015, the singer announced on Tumblr that her mother was diagnosed with cancer. The disease went into remission, but returned in 2019, which she shared in the Elle essay. Unfortunately, things continued to get worse and in 2020, Andrea Swift was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
On Swift’s album Lover, she wrote a song specifically for her mother’s battle with cancer, titled “Soon You’ll Get Better.”
Swift hasn’t shared any other details of her mother’s illness since then, so her current condition is unclear, but Andrea made public appearances with her daughter during the Eras Tour. That’s good news for fans, too, as Andrea is a beloved figure among her daughter’s community.
What did Taylor Swift’s dad, mom do for a living?
Scott never pursued a professional NFL career, instead choosing the financial route. He was a stockbroker before joining the advisory business with Merrill Lynch. He became vice president and had his own group called The Swift Group.
Andrea was a marketing manager at an advertising agency. Her marketing mind was put to use further when Swift’s career took off.
Since their daughter has taken off in the music world, their careers have became the parents of a global singer. They’ve embraced the role, though,

Taylor Swift family tree
Outside of her parents, most of Swift’s fans are familiar with her brother and her grandparents.
Performing is in her family’s blood.
Her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Finlay, sang in operas and symphony orchestras. Many know her from Swift’s song. Not only is “Marjorie” named for her, but vocals from her singing days were placed on the track’s background. She died June 1, 2003, but remains in Swift’s life just as strongly as she once did. Finlay inspired her daughter to pursue a singing career. She never got to see it play out, but Swift still honors her by playing the Evermore song at her concerts.
“Epiphany” was written for Swift’s paternal grandfather Archie Dean Swift, who was a Private in the US Marine Corps. Both grandparents are featured in the lyric video for Swift’s “Timeless,” a vault track on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).
Swift’s younger brother, Austin, was born March 11, 1992. He attended Notre Dame to study film and ultimately became an actor. He’s made appearances in I.T., Live by Night and Braking for Whales, among other films and shows. He’s tried his hand at production and even helped with two of Swift’s works, her documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions and music video “I Bet You Think About Me.”
Is Taylor Swift’s dad an Eagles fan?
Scott Swift passed on many traits to his daughter, one of them including his love for the Eagles. He grew up right outside Philadelphia. When Swift was born, the family settled a few miles further outside the city.
The singer even has a lyric in her song “Gold Rush” that confirms she does in fact cheer for the birds.
When Kelce met Scott in Buenos Aires, he later confirmed he switched the football fan’s NFL allegiance. Swift’s dad was spotted in the VIP tent of her concert wearing a Chiefs lanyard.
“You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott? This is ridiculous,” Jason Kelce said on the “New Heights” podcast.
The Eagles player might be the most excited of all about his parents meeting Swift’s.

Taylor Swift’s parents meet Travis Kelce’s parents
A report from Entertainment Tonight stated Swift’s parents would be at the Eagles-Chiefs game to meet Travis Kelce’s parents, Ed and Donna.
Swift herself could not get to Kansas City to make it all happen, however. She finished up the Rio de Janeiro leg of her Eras Tour after Saturday’s show was postponed to Monday. Extreme temperatures settled in on the Brazilian sitting, resulting in a heat wave that severely affected fans at the Friday concert and as they waited in life for Saturday. One fan lost her life as the result of exhaustion from Friday’s show, leading to Swift’s rescheduling.
