Usually when a new K-Pop group (especially those from bigger labels such as YG) debut, they promote their music by performing on music shows and being highly active on social media. But not only is there little activity on BABYMONSTER’s social media pages and no performances on music shows, but the group is pretty much only releasing “special stages” of their debut single “BATTER UP”.
Since they debuted about two weeks ago, BABYMONSTER has released a “dance performance” version, an apparently live “school version”, and a dance practice video along with their official music video and audio.
Even their TikTok videos are mostly made up of clips from the various videos and behind-the-scenes filming, without much of the girls’ activity outside of these videos to get to know them better.

And now, YG Entertainment has announced yet another “special stage” for the group, this time being a “stadium version” set to release on December 16.
This announcement was met with some pretty strong reactions from K-Pop fans, who seem to still be confused about what BABYMONSTER’s promotional method is supposed to be.
We’ll have to wait and see if there really are going to be even more versions of “BATTER UP” performances!
