On a fight card featuring Jake Paul, Shadasia Green and Franchon Crews-Dezurn look to take over headlines. The fighters compete for the WBC super middleweight title in the Caribe Royale in Florida on December 15. It will air on DAZN worldwide.
Crews-Dezurn is the former undisputed super middleweight champion, beating Elin Cederroos in 2022 to unify the division. She lost the belts a year later against Savannah Marshall. The 36-year-old looks to return to the spotlight and hold gold again by bullying Green.
“She’s a basketball player who learned how to box, I’m a fighter that learned how to box,” said Crews-Dezurn leading up to the fight.
A former basketball star at the collegiate level, Green turned pro in 2019. Signed by Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, Green has taken down almost everyone in her path, including Cederroos. “The Sweet Terminator” looks to hold gold for the first time and is willing to do whatever it takes to take down Crews-Dezurn.

Shadasia Green vs. Franchon Crews-Dezurn predictions, best bets
One thing is for sure: This fight won’t be a technical classic. It will be an all-out brawl.
Crews-Dezurn is known as “The Heavy Hitting Diva,” but she only has two wins via knockout. The former undisputed champion is known as a brawler but can also land technical shots. Against Cederroos in Madison Square Garden, Crews-Dezurn was the more polished fighter. She landed shots in and out of the clinch, using hooks and uppercuts to cut the tall fighter down. There was no doubt who the winner was, as Crews-Dezurn earned a unanimous decision (99-91, 99-91, 97-93) win.
It was an impressive victory. However, Green’s performance against the Swedish fighter was something to marvel at. Facing her first form of legitimate competition, Green knocked down Cederroos in the third round of their fight, and the former continued to batter her by the corner throughout the fight. Landing power shot after power shot, Green’s left hooks pushed Cederroos’ head back several times. Green won in the sixth as the referee saw enough.
Green has true knockout power, as seen with her eleven wins via knockout. Often, she swings wild, and it could lead to her tiring out. However, her movement has proven to avoid big blows, something to consider when fighting someone who also swings like Crews-Dezurn. If she can be scientific, like Marshall was against Crews-Dezurn to become undisputed champion, then Crews-Dezurn may be in trouble.
The one knock against Green is the lack of competition compared to Crews-Dezurn, who has fought Claressa Shields, Maricela Cornejo, Alejandra Jimenez, Cederroos, and Marshall. Crews-Dezurn’s lack of fighting compared to Green over the last year may also be a factor.
As we have learned in boxing, nothing matters except what happens in the ring on fight night. The Sporting News believes Green’s brutal style, mixed with some pure boxing, will be enough to beat Crews-Dezurn.
