On November 20, TVing released a new thriller series called A Bloody Lucky Day, starring actors Lee Sung Min, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Lee Jung Eun.
A Bloody Lucky Day is about an ordinary taxi driver (played by Lee Sung Min) unknowingly picking up a passenger (played by Yoo Yeon Seok) who offers him a large sum of money for a ride. Later, the taxi driver discovers that he is in the same car as a serial killer.
In the K-Drama, actress Lee Jung Eun plays a desperate mother chasing after Yoo Yeon Seok’s character for killing her son.
During an interview with News1 about A Bloody Lucky Day, Lee Jung Eun shared behind-the-scene stories about the actors and filming. As an actress who is best known for her roles in Parasite (2019), Mr. Sunshine (2019), The Light in Your Eyes (2019), When the Camellia Blooms (2019), and more, she is a senior actress who many respect.
When asked if she had any guiding princess as a senior, Lee Jung Eun shared that she feels the need to try her best because of her juniors who watch her.
There are many juniors who quietly watch my path. I thought to myself that I should always have my head on straight. It’s important what kind of processes you go through as a senior. Although the results may change to be result-oriented, I think it’s the part about the process that juniors empathize with and want to learn from. I hope to continue that in the future.

She then shared how she felt about her junior Yoo Yeon Seok’s acting in A Bloody Lucky Day. Earlier, it was revealed that Yoo Yeon Seok went above and beyond to portray his role as a psychopath serial killer.
In an exclusive peek into his preparations for the role, Yoo Yeon Seok shared that he studied actual psychopaths doing interviews to see how they behaved, moved, and spoke.

Although he played a lot of warm characters, such as the kind doctor from Hospital Playlist or a sweet baseball player in Reply 1994, he has shown his versatility as an actor through A Bloody Lucky Day.
His studying and analyzing must have paid off because his psychopathic acting was so good—that it gave Lee Jung Eun chills.
Lee Jung Eun first commented on Yoo Yeon Seok’s acting in A Bloody Lucky Day, which differed from his previous roles.
Yoo Yeon Seok has a cool demeanor. I saw him in melodramas or when he played Goo Dong Mae in Mr. Sunshine, but this time, he accomplished his acting without exerting any dynamic force.
— Lee Jung Eun
She got chills when she heard he created an ad-lib, which was not in the script.
I heard that the scene where Yoo Yeon Seok makes a ‘V’ while looking at the Black Box camera was his idea. It was to the point where one could be suspicious he really has those tendencies. I got the feeling that he enjoyed playing the antagonist, and he seemed to have a thirst for new challenges.
— Lee Jung Eun
According to Lee Jung Eun, actors tend to want to try provocative roles, and Yoo Yeon Seok seems to be one who successfully challenged himself as an actor.
A Bloody Lucky Day is based on the Naver webtoon of the same time and has released Part 1 on November 24 and Part 2 on December 8.
