Can there still be secrets between two group members who have been together for 20+ years? Apparently so, as JYJ‘s Jaejoong and Junsu reunited for the final episode of JaeFriend‘s first season, where the two hilariously spilled behind-the-scenes stories and secrets about their two-decade-long careers.
The first episode of Kim Jaejoong’s YouTube talk show JaeFriends officially aired in July 2023. The first season successfully concluded after 20 episodes, each of which featured guests whose identities were kept secret from Jaejoong until filming began.
For the 20th episode, the JaeFriends staff surprised Jaejoong with an extra special guest, his fellow group member Junsu, who had successfully kept his appearance on the show a secret despite catching up with Jaejoong only a few days prior to filming.
At the beginning of the episode, Jaejoong was insistent that Junsu watch him cook, stating that Junsu had eaten his food before but had never seen Jaejoong actually make it.
Jaejoong shared that he loved cooking for his fellow group members, and when they lived in Japan, he often made them food, even when they wanted to order food from a restaurant.
Jaejoong then revealed that his kind act of cooking for his fellow members may not have been entirely selfless.
The veteran idol admitted that he loved eating at night, even though it made his face puffy the next morning. Not wanting to be the only member with a “puffy face,” Jaejoong hilariously revealed he would prepare food for his fellow members so they would have puffy faces too.
Jaejoong added that if he were the only member with a “puffy face,” people would think he was the only one not managing himself.
Junsu couldn’t hide his shock at the sudden confession, stating, “That’s bad!”
