WayV performed at 2024 Waterbomb recently. They tore up the stage with their hot bodies and raw talent. The boys even sang a song acapella after the accompanying music got turned off.
HOLY SHIT ⁉️ the instrumental for kick back stopped halfway but ofc wayv didn’t let that hinder their performance, instead the members continued to sing it 100% LIVE 😭😭😭

Although their performance made a splash, something else went viral on X. Fans noticed that there seemed to be something covering the boys’ microphones.
T-that thing on the mic… oh that’s not 😭…. pic.twitter.com/p8XgrHVuB3

The specific shape of the cover immediately had fans’ thoughts jumping to the obvious. They pointed out the tip that was near the bottom of the microphones.
All of the members had the wrapping over their microphones.
Fans took to X to discuss the matter. It turns out that using condoms to cover electronics, microphones specifically, is common practice. It is one of the cheapest, yet most effective ways of protecting them during wet environments.
Given that 2024 Waterbomb is a water festival, it only made sense. Without it, they probably would not be able to interact with the audience.
Many artists and industries make use of this method!
Kudos to the boys for pulling off the show!
