The road to Omaha is narrowing.
The 64-team field is down to just 16 teams, with the super regionals beginning on Friday, June 7, with four thrilling matchups.
Four of the top 16 seeds will be in action on Friday, including No. 1 overall seed Tennessee. The Volunteers will take on the tournament’s Cinderella story, Evansville, after the Purple Aces upset No. 16 East Carolina in the Greenville regional.
No. 4 North Carolina, No. 8 Florida State, and No. 12 Virginia will similarly look to stave off their upset-minded, underdog opponents.
And make sure to get comfortable on your couch: The games begin at 12 p.m., and the last one has a first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m., making for a day’s worth of high stakes college baseball.
