A new boy group with a unique concept has just debuted!
Haidilao, a popular chain of hot pot restaurants, just “debuted” their own impromptu idol group. They released a music video entitled “Ke Mu Si” in time for the Lunar New Year on their official accounts on Weibo and Xiaohongshu.
The five unnamed members each hail from different provinces in China. It was confirmed that they are all working as waiters at Haidilao and were specially chosen to perform in this video.
Wearing the signature uniform of the restaurant—a white dress shirt with black pants and a gray apron—the waiters opened the video with a bang, changing into cool black suits in the blink of an eye.
Though they didn’t have formal training, they charmed netizens with their charisma and good looks.
They left heaps of praise under the “Ke Mu Si” video, loving the crossover of hotpot and the idol world.
- Being a hotpot restaurant is just a cover. Haidilao is an entertainment company
- Entertainment scouts should just visit the hotpot chain more often to find their next star
The video ended with the five members wishing everyone a happy Lunar New Year.
