The Packers have a perfect record in the month of December dating back through the past 16 games they have played in that time span, but the Giants will try to spoil that as they go head-to-head with Green Bay on “Monday Night Football.”
The Giants (4-8), who feature a great underdog story in Tommy DeVito at quarterback, enter the game coming off a 10-7 victory over the Patriots in a low-scoring affair last Sunday.
DeVito has surpassed Tyrod Taylor on the depth chart behind injured starter Daniel Jones. So far this season in relief of Jones and Taylor, who both sustained injuries, DeVito has completed just under 63% of his passes for 697 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions.

The Packers (6-6) are on an upswing they will look to maintain, improving from a 2-5 team to a 6-6 team this season with the ability to make a strong postseason run if they can sustain continuity.
Head coach Matt LaFleur is well aware of where his team stands and the mentality they must have.
“As soon as you start feeling yourself and you feel like you’ve arrived, this league has a way of knocking you off,” LaFleur said in a recent press conference. “And the bottom line is, we’re a .500 football team. We’re 6-6 right now. We’ve clawed out of a tough spot, but every week, you’ve got to bring your ‘A’ game.”

10:48 p.m.: If the Packers lose this game, San Francisco will clinch a playoff spot officially.

10:45 p.m.: Love is sacked on third down and the Packers try for a 45-yard field goal from Carlson. It’s no good, and a drive that had real potential for the Packers is squandered with their December win streak in very real jeopardy.
10:35 p.m.: The third quarter ends on a 5-yard rush by Patrick Taylor and it remains a one-possession game.
10:34: The Packers try an elaborate trick play but it’s blown up from the very start as the Giants defense sniffs it out. Love is forced to throw it away, lucky the play didn’t result in a sack.
10:30 p.m.: DeVito rolls out of the pocket and hits Hodgins for the 8-yard touchdown in the corner of the end zone. This marks two consecutive games in which Hodgins has a touchdown reception.
10:27 p.m.: On a flea-flicker, the Giants find success. DeViito connects with wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson for the Giants’ longest pass play of the night — a 25-yarder.
10:15 p.m.: Carlson’s 32-yard field goal is good and it’s now just a one-point game.
10:13 p.m.: It’s clear something is off with the Packers offense tonight. Despite some well-timed throws by Love, Green Bay is now 1-for-8 of third down.

9:43 p.m.: The Packers settle for a 36-yard field goal attempt from Anders Carlson and it’s good to allow the Packers to regain the lead.
9:36 p.m.: Green Bay con tines to advance into New York territory with a short pass from Love to Romeo Doubs to bring the Packers to the NYG 10.
9:25 p.m.: Jordan Love is intercepted by Giants safety Jason Pinnock after a fourth-down stop and the Giants are back in business.
9:02 p.m.: The Giants score their first touchdown of the game with a 5-yard run to the left side by Saquon Barkley.

8:32 p.m.: In a scoreless game, the Giants are set up at the 32-yard line to begin their second possession. This puts them in a solid position to take the lead first.
8:30 p.m.: Jordan Love continues to get better and better, though there have been some errant throws due to the wind conditions during the game that are clearly affecting him. Love headed into the game with over a 61% completion rate, 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
